The Destiny Networks Product Showhouse Features Virtually Hands-free Control
In simpler times, an audio/video control system would allow an end user to activate his video display, video source, and surround-sound system, dim the lights and draw the curtains all with the press of one button. However, these days that's too much work.
Consumers can now enjoy technology effortlessly, thanks, in part to installers like Ken Klarfeld of Eugene, Ore.-based Fusion Audio Technologies raising the bar. Klarfeld’s integration of Destiny Networks' product showhouse reflects hands-free automation.
Using equipment such as Destiny's Domain 5000 controller, Klarfeld created an environment where the user can walk from the kitchen to the living room as the LiteTouch lighting system automatically illuminates the room he enters and dims the room he leaves. If the user chooses, the sounds of jazz from the media room’s Sony SAT-B2 DSS receiver can follow him as he travels throughout the house with Destiny's Follow-Me Music software.
Klarfeld says he is pleased with the equipment's seamless operation. "You walk from room to room and the ambiance follows you. You don't even notice it’s happening," he says. "That’s probably the ultimate measure of success in integrating a home." For more on Fusion Audio Technologies, visit www.fusioaudio.com or call 541-729-3899.
